We’re pretty excited about this update as we’ve got one of the biggest changes we’ve made to Centori since we first released the SEO dashboard. In this update we have made one of our biggest jumps towards enabling you to create an effective and engaging content strategy.
Creating content for your business can be daunting, it’s hard to keep track of the progress you’ve made, as well as ensuring you’re actually making an impact with the content you’re creating.
So let’s make it easy. If a compelling content strategy is about scheduling content across core topics to your business, we want to make it simple to visualize how your content strategy looks and how well you are covering the topics chosen for your website.
A few things have changed on our platform so we’re going to break them down by section.
The SEO dashboard
We’ve made several visual changes to the SEO page, as we’re working to make it a true dashboard. This is the command center for your team, it’s the brain behind your content marketing and we want to make this brain as effective and efficient as possible.
Firstly, we’ve linked constellations more closely with your core topics:
The core topics are topics that are essential to your brand and business, we’ve made improvements to our site crawler to detect these from your website a bit better, though you should feel free to add your own (as you may not be covering a topic yet on your website).
Constellations come in because it’s important to know which keywords from Google are related to a topic, these are keywords you should be writing content for in order to attract prospects. When running a news search on a constellation we will pull top articles for each keyword in your constellation.
On clicking a Constellation and scrolling down you can view the sub topics grouped into your Constellation, as well as tasks related to your core topic:
Yep, we’ve added Tasks in here too, let’s get to that.
The point of a content strategy is mapping out content around these core topics, so let’s make it simple. We now allow you to associate a task with a Constellation to ensure that you have content scheduled across the core topics for your site.
An effective blog strategy requires posts around these topics, so now you can easily visualize this in the SEO dashboard.
In saving a task from the newsfeed of tasks dashboard, you can now associate that task with a constellation to ensure that you are stockpiling blog posts across topics for your website.
On the SEO dashboard in loading a constellation we now show associated tasks, along with the due date and assignee with a link to view the task in full.
Who gets it?
The changes to the SEO dashboard are live for all Centori accounts, both Free and Starter.
Tasks are only available in Starter accounts, and so will not show on the dashboard for Free accounts. Not an upgraded users? You can start a 90-day free trial of Starter by upgrading in the ‘Billing’ section of Settings.
